About Follow Izziebleu

An intentional travel and wellness blog dedicated to those with wanderlust souls who spend most of their waking hours behind a desk at their day jobs sneaking in daydreams of checking off bucket list destinations to faraway lands in search of transformative experiences and meaningful connections.

We trudge through the work week achieving company objectives and client expectations with only one real goal in sight…the promise of adventure and explorations of untraversed places once the weekend rolls around or when our PTO request gets approved.

We are a collective: The average person who shows up to a place of employment in exchange for a paycheck but who also aspires to be wanderlusters the other 52 weekends + holidays + vacation days out of the year!

The truth is, we can work a nine-to-fiver AND still be world travelers. People ask me all the time what I do for work or if I even work at all because it may seem that I’m world traveling all the time. Up until my recent life sabbatical, more on that later, I used to sit in an office, just like you, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm impatiently waiting for the weekend and holidays to roll around so that I can shed my corporate skin and run free through sunlit wildflowers or rainy cobblestone streets of new undiscovered lands.

All it takes to become a part-time world traveler is just a little strategic planning:

  • optimization of company holidays
  • utilization of weekends
  • extension of business travel

And, most importantly:

  • hard-earned $$$ you saved from working your bum off
  • AND an adventurous spirit

Oh, and lots of ideas and how-to’s to fuel the inspiration. Hopefully this is where I come in, and I can help guide you on where to go next whether it’s a 2-week international expedition or a long weekend jaunt to a national park!

Let’s go explore the world!

xoxo,

Isabella Ann
